Molly specialises in helping clients with neurological conditions, both in public and private sector. She qualified in 2001 and initially started her practice in the Philippines before moving to the UK in 2003. She has since worked for the NHS, providing community-based physiotherapy. Molly understands that people with neurological conditions have with various physical symptoms such as weakness, pain, fatigue, difficulty with movement, and balance problems, which makes coming to a clinic inaccessible.
She delivers effective treatment programs within the person's own home, or any other environment of their choice, where they feel comfortable and familiar. Molly believes that by creating a program set within client's day to day environment, it enhances functional recovery and encourages long term self-management. Clients will be able to relate specific therapeutic movement and handling into real-life tasks such as getting in and out of bed, getting dressed, preparing a meal, or going up and down steps/stairs. She uses techniques that are repeated regularly as part of day-to-day life (not just as an exercise regime) which gives the brain and body a better chance of improving function and activity.
Molly has completed several postgraduate training courses, which includes a Master's Degree in Chronic Conditions Management. She also completed a 3-week intensive training in Basic Bobath Concept, a specialist approach focusing on assessment and treatment of adults with neurological conditions, and certified by the British Bobath Tutors Association (BBTA). Molly is also an accredited PD Warrior Instructor, and delivers a specialist exercise program for people with Parkinson’s disease. Her other special interests include falls prevention and fatigue management.
Molly is also a bestselling co-author of the book “Confidence - how to have it and keep it” published in 2020. To request your free copy, please use the CONTACT US form and register your details.
